Phi Theta Chi Sorority (ΦΘΧ)

History  

Phi Theta Chi is a local sorority that was founded in the spring of 1991 at Winona State University.  When the local sorority Delta Xi Gamma decided to split into two different sororities, half became a national sorority, Sigma, Sigma, Sigma and the other half became a local sorority, Phi Theta Chi.

The official symbol of Phi Theta Chi is the yellow rose, while the organizations colors are blue and green.  The Gamma chapter of Phi Theta Chi at the University of Wisconsin Stout was founded by Gina Hass and Christa Valley in 1997.  Both Gina and Christa were initiated and attended school at Winona State University for some years but decided to transfer to UW-Stout and thereafter founded the Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Chi.

Many girls have been inducted over the years, and we continue to pursue our goal of growing but at the same time maintaining the morals and values our Sorority was founded on.

The purpose of Phi Theta Chi Sorority is to unite our members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship. Through the eternal birth of our sisterhood, we promise to preserve friendship, trust each other, be compassionate, give strength, excel in knowledge, and remain loyal to our sisters forever.
